About Us
District South as per last Census-2017 is a home to around 1.79 million people out of which around 700,000 is Lyari, the place known for its Football grounds & Boxing clubs. It is not only one of the original inhabitations from where the city had evolved but also has a very rich history having a lingual diversity from Baloch, Kutchi, Sindhi, Pashtun, Punjabi and Hazarewall backgrounds. It has 15 Union Councils (1-15), 2 Provincial Assembly Seats (PS-107 and PS-108) and one National Assembly Seat (NA-246).
